Today in Abu Dhabi, an official visit took place by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and head of the accompanying delegation for the visiting Prime Minister, as well as Dr. Bader Abdalla Al Maturishi, the UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, and other officials.

The visit of the Prime Minister of Vietnam emphasized the common aspiration of both countries to strengthen their relations. Vietnam is a major trading partner for the UAE within the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Mutual trade, excluding oil products, continues to grow actively: in the first half of 2024, it reached 6.1 billion dollars, marking a growth of 9 percent and 34 percent compared to the same periods in 2023 and 2022 respectively.
